Prior to Pfizer, Yalcin was Senior Manager at IMS Health, where he applied his extensive experience with statistical modeling in Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) to help Pharmaceutical clients accurately identify customer segments, properly structure and align their sales forces, and optimally spend their sales force resources across their product portfolio. He translated his thorough understanding of business questions with the expertise to analyze and provide actionable analytical results for the complex, bottom-line oriented, high visibility projects. He involved in data driven consulting projects where some of the required analytics are promotional mix analysis, customer segmentation & targeting, and data mining. Moreover, he leveraged promotional modeling and optimization techniques to design and measure commercial and strategic tactics. David brings more than 35 years of experience in mathematical modeling of business problems, with over 20 years in sales and marketing analysis for Life Sciences companies. At Axtria, David serves as a Senior Principal, with emphasis on projects in mathematical modeling of sales operations and multi-channel promotion analysis.
In addition, David has done substantial work in the development of Yield Management for the commercial airline industry (at Sabre Decision Technologies), and has worked in finance, energy and natural resource economics issues.
David holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, in Operations Research.
Jonathan WoodringPrincipal, Symphony Health Solutions
Jonathan Woodring has spent the last 10+ years of his career providing analytical consulting services in the healthcare and life sciences industries, with a focus spanning sales force effectiveness solutions in the pharma space to disease management and risk adjustment solutions in the payer arena.
His sales force design experience spans from building product launch teams, through sales force expansions and contractions, co-promotion strategy and operationalization, and design and implementation of late life cycle alternative personal promotional teams. Jonathan has been instrumental in full scale commercial transformation initiatives by designing innovative roles and sub-national deployment models focused on large group practices, IDNs, and ACOs, through measurement and scaling of these sub-national strategies.
His team’s current focus is around advanced analytics, machine learning techniques, and anonymous patient level data to identify undiagnosed rare disease patients.
Prior to joining Symphony Health Solutions, Jonathan spent 6 years at marketRx/Cognizant where he led a global team focused on large-scale commercial effectiveness consulting engagements in the life sciences space, and spearheaded the establishment of the healthcare analytics practice.
Jonathan holds an MA in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst as well as a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Skidmore College.
Chang XuSr. Manager, Pfizer
Chang has 10 years rich experience in Pharmacy analytics in the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries. Her experience includes promotional return on Investment, pilot design and evaluation, brand strategy, forecasting, predictive modeling, optimization, clinical trial, and health outcomes research. She currently works as a Senior Manager in Global Business Analytics at Pfizer. Before she joined Pfizer, she was part of the Specialty Pharmacy Analytics team at Cigna. Prior to Cigna, she was a member of the US Commercial Decision Team at Eli Lilly, focusing on return on investment, optimization, pilot design and evaluation, and physician targeting. Chang has a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from UIC.
Emily ZhaoAdvanced Analytics, QuintilesIMS
Emily Zhao is a Director of Advanced Analytics in Global Statistical Services at QuintilesIMS. She has extensive experience in marketing and sales analytics, including marketing mix modeling, segmentation and targeting. She also draws on her diverse knowledge and experience in consumer analytics to construct pharmaceutical multi-channel marketing analytics methodologies, including ROI analysis, campaign management, optimization and forecasting. Prior to QuintilesIMS, Dr. Zhao held positions as marketing analytics director at Farmers Insurance and UnitedHealth Group. She led predictive modeling for consumer targeting, media purchase modeling and optimization for TV and digital channels, and advanced campaign test design/analyses. Earlier in her career, she had worked as an analyst in marketing and sales analytics at Schering-Plough.
Dr. Zhao holds a PhD in Immunology and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned a Marketing Certificate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
