The Manager of Marketing Sciences is responsible for solving business problems by applying cutting edge data science techniques on large datasets. This role is expected to work closely with the brand teams and other related groups to help define the business issues and articulate a solution that creates profitable sales growth. He/She then implements the solution and is then expected to present the results back to brand teams and commercial leadership. The Manager is expected to perform a wide variety of data analyses, conduct ROI analyses, optimize savings programs and create trend-line forecasts. This role is responsible for exploring new data sources and keeping up-to date on latest data science techniques. This is a hands-on position as the person is expected to write programs using SAS, R, H20 etc. while at the same time creating power point decks and presenting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Generate actionable insights by performing analysis using a variety of data sources.
  2. Conducts ROI analysis on marketing programs for various brands and determine optimal spend.
  3. Optimize copay card saving programs.
  4. Develop propensity models using machine learning techniques for consumer and prescriber targeting.
  5. Ensure that all adhoc requests are answered in a timely fashion. The person is responsible for prioritizing all these requests and managing customer expectations on timelines
  6. Develop other team members in the group.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Significant experience and interest in computer programming such as SAS, R etc.
  • Sound knowledge of various statistical algorithms and machine learning techniques
  • Advanced Excel and power-point skills
A Bachelor's degree in one of the following majors is required. Statistics/Applied Statistics, Epidemiology, Bio-Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Other Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. An MS/PhD degree in one of these fields is strongly preferred.
