Job Description:

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Clinical Analytics Associate Manager to partner with the Advanced Analytics team to generate reports based on Real World Evidence from medical systems (EHR and Claims). This role will be instrumental in translating between findings in digital records and clinical practice in cardiology.

This role will collaborate cross functionally to develop a deep understanding of the patient pathways in cardiology for Edwards and the operations of the Business Units. The successful individual must have a combination of practical clinical skills and an understanding of data models in healthcare.

Responsibilities:

- Support our strategic analytic function using Real World Evidence to guide product development and marketing efforts.
- Serve as liaison between Analytics teams and clinical practice in cardiology, helping to relate how care delivery may be captured in datasets.
- Collaborate with other members of the analytics team to explore new data sources, tools for managing and analyzing data, and governance of data usage.
- Assist with analytical reports or presentations including modeling, clinical review of summary tables, data listings, and graphs with the analytics team leadership.
- Responsible for developing, testing, validating, documenting, maintaining, and executing programs in an appropriate database language and may serve as a lead programmer as appropriate.
- Partner with thought leaders to develop clinical analyses in the cardiology space.
- Review of database processing created by more junior programmers.
- Prepare analysis datasets and data requests in collaboration with the team needs.

Required Education & Skills:

- Master’s degree related biological or life science discipline is required (e.g. Nursing, Healthcare Administration, MD or PA)
- 6+ years in a clinical capacity required (such as RN, medical school, etc.)

Strong preferences:

- Relevant analytic experience in epidemiology, clinical data management, hospital administration, medical claims
- Strong understanding of echocardiography, cardiology, cardiac surgery, physician and hospital dynamics and the constantly evolving healthcare landscape
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in a detail oriented role working across multiple sources of information.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS or SPSS
- Programming experience in a database language (SQL, variants)
